“So so so so very good! Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012 via mobile

Me and my partner stayed in room 1, it was indeed super comfy! Everything about this place is spot on. From the welcome, the room, and most impressively the food is outstanding. Don't bother looking at any other hotel, just book this one seriously! I'll be back and will recommend to all. Apologies to Lucy for dropping my drink on her beautifull carpet. Thank u all so much for a perfect stay.. XAJ

“Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I was taken here as a surprise last year for my birthday.

The welcome was polite and the room was clean, light and modern.

The complimentary tea and cakes were such a nice gesture and really helped make this hotel stand out.

Breakfast in the morning was delicious, all freshly made to order and a great selection of food.

Our stay here was thoroughly enjoyed we are now going back in March 2012 and staying in the room with the downstairs bathroom.

Fantastic hotel that we will be coming back to time and time again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

“Peaceful break....”

We had a lovely one night stay here. We were pleasantly surprised, on arriving early to find that our room was ready and spotlessly clean enabling us to start our break early and head out for the afternoon without our luggage in tow. The town was easily within walking distance. We were looked after by Tomas for whom nothing was too much trouble and who is a wonderful asset to the hotel. He even arranged a pass to the spa for us at very short notice. Afternoon tea was lovely and breakfast equally so. The hotel was extremely quiet while we were there which was nice and we walked within minutes to have a meal nearby at The Golden Mountain (food was excellent and very reasonable). I would say that even though it is advertised as a restaurant with rooms, do not let this put you off as this establishment felt like a hotel and was a lot more homely and professional than a lot of places we have stayed.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Spent a lovely 2 nights here. Despite the fact we were staying in the hotel's cheapest room (mini double), we cannot fault it. The staff were friendly and the hotel was decorated to a high standard throughout - can't wait to return!!

“Can't wait to return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My partner and i stayed for a weekend in Nov 11 as a treat for her 30th birthday. The setting was stunning, the room was fantastic (Rm 12), the spiral staircase down to the large bathroom is not something you get in most places. The staff were friendly and this made us feel at home instantly. Breakfast was superb with a great menu choice and it set us up for the day. We had tea and cake on the Sat afternoon in the relaxing lounge area and the cake was delicious. But the whole experience was topped off by the meal that we had as part of the Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package. I can only describe the meal as "out of this world" and my partner says it is the best meal she has ever eaten. Each course was just perfection! I really can't wait to return and sample some different dishes. Our weekend also included a trip to the spa facilities at the MacDonald which were of a high standard. I cannot thank the Owners Richard and Lisa enough for the stay, and I know we will be returning!

Room Tip: Room 12 does not have a good view but the room is large and the spiral staircase to the large bathro...
