From the moment you arrive the hosts Philip and Mary make you most welcome. The property is delightful, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. Lots of little extras that make you feel cared for and special.
Philip is a font of knowledge on the local area restraunts etc. and walks to take. I have paid a lot more and still did not receive the service and standard of accommodation that I experienced at 1 Park Road.

What a fantastic trip! I booked this break for my partners 50th surprise party and invited 8 other guests to join us. From the outset Philip was extremely helpful, he offered advise on restaurants, spa hotels and just generally things to do in and around Windermere in January. Leading up to our stay Philip even gave us regular weather reports to help us better plan our stay! The rooms at 1 Park Road are good, the communal areas are great and breakfast is super! We really couldn't have asked for better service!

1 Park Road was perfect. The B and B is gorgeous, warm, cosy and well eqiuped with books, paintings, instruments to keep well entertained (should the weather not be up to much). The accomodation is clean and modern, with lots of space to stretch out and make yourself comfortable. It truely feels like a home away from home. Phil and Mary go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is fab! Great selection of food, including eggs benedict. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough, there is definately nowhere else we;ll be staying when we come back to the lakes. Thank you for an amazing stay Mary and Phil. My girlfriend and I stayed here between Christmas and New Year and were treated to wonderful hospitality courtesy of Philip and Mary. They were extremely welcoming to the both of us and our German Shepherd and provided everything we needed to make the stay for all 3 of us extremely comfortable. I have paid a lot of money for breakfasts in cafes in London but I can honestly that their full English breakfast is by the far the best I have ever eaten! Each of the locally sourced ingredients was absolutely bursting with flavour. I would thoroughly recommend this B & B for anyone looking for high quality, good value accommodation in the Lake District particularly if you are also bringing a canine friend.
