Great room, Great breakfast, Ideal location, Great hospitality, Faultless...

Time and time again this is the best b&b in the Bowness/Windermere area. Yes, we are regulars, and the reasons why, is cause the breakfasts is ace, you can have what you want, and seconds, the owner Leigh is brilliant, she can not do enough for you, even putting some champs in our room, for wedding anniversary, the rooms are clean, and there is ample room for all my luggage! You can not go wrong at Montfort cottage.

We stayed at Montfort last weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Leigh puts a lot of effort into making your stay excellent, with lovely rooms and an absolutely superb breakfast.
As recommended, we took the taxi from Windermere train station for £3 to the cottage, which is located about midway between Windermere (where the train station is) and bowness (where lake Windermere is located). Both Windermere and Bowness were easy to walk to.
We have the breakfast in our room, called Butterworth I think, it is downstairs near the entrance.
We'd love to come back!

excellent b+b set in a lovely street about 10 minute walk from lake. very friendly and whole house very well decorated and spotlessly clean.. we stayed in the top floor room which didnt have en suite but own private bathroom on lower floor.couldnt complain both where very nice and room had excellent views.. we decided on the complimentery breakfast which was very nice but after smelling the full english which was an extra 5 pounds i will be tempted to get that next time...fantastic accomadation all round will definately stop there again when visiting..
