I organised a trip for my parents, the reception staff were extremely helpful, with special thanks to Jessika for organising a lovely anniversary surprise! They loved everything about their stay, and are already planning their next visit! Well done everyone!!

My husband & I visited for the first time at the end of Jan. We loved so much about the hotel. The staff were warm & friendly, Andy & Sarah head up a great team & they really do engage well with their guests. We really enjoyed the evening meals, and some of the dishes we experienced over the 3 evenings could easily have graced a michelin star restaurant. We loved the choice of dishes at breakfast, which we rated as one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever enjoyed at any hotel. The Linthwaite is in a superb setting and enjoys spectacular views across the lake and to the fells beyond. We were lucky enough to experience the Loft Suite during our stay due to a competition win - we found it very luxurious and I have to say it was the most comfortable bed we've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. We enjoyed it so much that we are going to change a planned break later in the year so we can go back!

We enjoyed our two night stay very much. Breakfast and dinner of a high standard and service to match. We had preferred room which was we liked very much. No complaints whatsoever. We will be back.

This was our third visit to Linthwaite House and we had a thoroughly relaxing 3 days in this lovely cosy hotel where service was absolutely first class. We took advantage of a 50% off dinner, bed and breakfast promotion which certainly helped as normal rates are a bit expensive for us.
We booked a Preferred Room which was spacious with a huge king sized bed and a small balcony although that was really off limits as it was covered in snow. The room temperature was controlled from within the bedroom and we were never cold even when the outside temperature dropped to -7C.
The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning and with all around white with deep snow and with a clear blue sky above the camera was never in the pocket.
We enjoyed all our meals which were extremely tasty and well presented with locally sourced produce. If you want to eat "pie & chips", however, you may want to go elsewhere.
We will be back again.
