we stayed at the mill inn for 1 night , really friendly staff Anna who was working on the saturday night made us very welcome and we enjoyed her company throughout the evening we had a very nice meal and a great breakfast will be visiting again when up in the lakes thanks to Andrew and his staff for a warm welcome

My wife and I stayed at the Mill Inn for two nights at the end of August. The room was clean and comfortable, the food excellent and the atmosphere very friendly thanks to Andrew and his staff. Well positioned for fell walking, we will return!

My wife and i recently stayed 2 nights here,the atmosphere in the place was delightful our room well appointed with a good clean shower room.
The place is in a delightful quiet location for the Lake District accessible but just off the main road.We were mountain biking and there are some excellent on and off road routes nearby.
We were so impressed with the fish and chips we had them both nights,they were fresh,cooked just right not greasy and a good portion size.
Good choice of beer but also a reasonable wine list.Hope to go back soon.

After a miserable morning attempting Blencathra we called our walk short and headed back to Mungrisdale and the welcome shelter of the Mill Inn. Andrew made us very welcome and the beer and food were second to none and very good value. Will definitely return when we attempt Blencathra again. Worth going out of your way to visit this hidden gem.... gave the rooms a five even though we didn't stay. I'll bet any money they're good.
