Beautiful. Best bathroom and amenities I’ve ever seen in a guest accommodation, including luxury bath salts and toothbrush/toothpaste (though the bath salts were not replenished once used). Shelving for toiletries, washcloths, lighted mirror, bathtub with shower fixture. Heated towel rail (not on during day). Unfortunately, double sink faucets; I so much prefer a single faucet. Tub should have a grab rail. Heaters are turned off during the day, so it’s chilly on winter afternoons. Four-poster bed, beautiful brocade bed hangings and drapes, high-quality bed linens, wooden and/or antique furniture. Candies, cookies, chocolate, fruit, bottled water, a variety of teas, including no-caffeine ones. Facial tissues, multi-ply toilet tissue, enough electrical outlets near the desk/vanity for computer, lamp, chargers, hair blower. Micro-mini fridge, with offer to provide a quieter version if needed. My double room had a bay window and couch. Plaid wool covers the stairs! Breakfast room was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I was kindly upgraded to a larger room than booked, since they weren’t full. They’re willing to provide for alternative diets at breakfast. Cooked breakfast takes 15 minutes to prepare. Even though I was just one in the room, it would have been nice if after the first night the maid had not taken away the second set of towels, the second wine glass, cup & saucer and had replaced the bath salts and fruit. Second day: three pieces of fruit, two hand towels as requested by my note. They must not be concerned about water conservation: I said I didn’t need changes of towels, since I had a double set, but each day I received a new single set.
I saw the single room (non-ensuite I think), and it’s very small.
No recycling here, the trucks don’t pick up from commercial properties.
