A real home from home. Comfortable room, excellent bed (even for my 6'4" husband!), TV, tea coffee and lovely biscuits - what more can you ask for in a room? Well planned and flexible breakfast menu and such welcoming hosts in John and Susie. If you want to stay in Keswick then this is the place but there might just be a long queue!!

We had a lovely weekend and can only echo what everyone else has said - truly delicious breakfasts cooked by Susie, everything very comfortable and clean. We stayed in the room called Cat Bells, which overlooks the street, but was very quiet and peaceful. One of the high points for us was breakfast at the communal table, meeting and hearing the experiences of visitors from around the world. John was very knowledgeable about walks in the area and gave us some helpful advice. Note to avoid embarrassment: there is now a small charge for the parking. You might get differently worded confirmations from www.keswick.org and the owners, which you need to read more carefully than we did!

We have had a wonderful week staying in John and Susie's guest house. Susie's vegan breakfasts were superb, our room clean and comfortable. Each morning we had lovely conversations with John who gave us ideas for places to visit, details of public transport and boat trips (we had travelled to Keswick from Devon using buses and trains). To sum up, our hosts and accommodation were everything that we could have wished for. Keswick is a great place to stay, so many things to do without having to rely on having your own transport.

John and Susie were the best hosts. They even followed us to the car park (free parking for guest) to help us get back to the B&B, even though it was only a very short walk away. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was made to order, with many special items not found at other B&B's, and absolutely delicious. They offered us many recommendations for eating and sightseeing. It was located right in the center of town, a short walk to the lake and all the other attractions of Keswick. A wonderful B&B... we would most definitely stay here again.
