The Derwent Lodge does a very good Sunday Lunch. The food is good and they do half portions which are ample for we wrinklies and excellent value. Also they serve a good pint of Jennings Bitter and have quite a reasonable wine list.

This immaculately presented small and friendly 3* hotel has a multitude of 4* touches. e.g. L'Occitane toiletries, super fluffy towels and his/hers robes and slippers, superb mattress, pillows and bedding. This is all in addition to great staff, fantastic and very reasonably priced food. The hotel is in a tranquil location, with stunning views. Could i be any more positive about this little piece of heaven? We stayed in a deluxe room (Skiddaw). The room has two bathrooms, one with spa bath, the other with a superb shower. The bed is cleverly positioned so that when you wake up, you see Skiddaw at one side, and Derwentwater lake, with it's backdrop hills at the other side. Absolutely breathtaking. If you want a peaceful location with the amenities of Keswick only a 10 minute walk away, this is the place to be! We will return! Thank you Derwent Lodge and Staff for making our break just what we needed!

We have just returned from a weekend break at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was one of the standard rooms but was lovely and comfortable with a view over the garden. The hotel provided nice extra touches biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities and very nice quality toiletries. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The location is fantastic with the launch to Keswick and boat trips only a short walk. We loved this hotel and will visit again.

The room was perfect the staff charming and the food exellent . all in all i would recomend it to anyone
