This was our 3rd stay, we were originally reserved room 207 which was a double and single, then we were offered another room nearer the rear of the hotel with better views, as they had had a cancellation because of the snow! We therefore opted for room 214, a double. It was a lovely room, comfy bed, ample tea & coffee etc, the only let down was the bath, there was a shower screen fitted;on the "inside" of the bath rail, which meant you had to bend yourself double to reach the taps/shower control, however, on our first morning, the hot water ran cool, we queried this at reception and the girl brought to our room, the keys for 207, and offered us to use that room to bathe/shower, not ideal, but better than nothing. Breakfast was a very nice selection with efficient staff and excellent service. Outside our room window was the "rat run" from the town square to the car park, which was extremely noisy on the saturday night. Parking was charged at £8 per day/night. Having been inconvenience slightly with the bathroom scenario, £178 for a double room for 2 nights, was a little hard to swallow. We'll perhaps look else where next time.
