“Wonderfully warm welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

Great location, beautiful rooms, and wonderful owners. While the outside still needs some work, the interior has been very carefully and tastefully renovated. Our room and bathroom was amazing and the coffee machine very welcome! Possibly one of the best spreads for breakfast of our European trip, Andy and Kate should be congratulated for their service. We will definitely be back !

Hi Alison, we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us here in Keswick; Thank you for your review, we look forward to a busy year 2012 as 2011 has been very quiet for us, I think the weather and the financial situation in Europe has not helped, hope you had a good journey home. “Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

My two teenage daughters and I have just had a three day stay at Rooms 36 and had a great experience. We arrived mid afternoon, which was earlier than we had anticipated, but none the less were shown straight to our room by Andy. We had booked a family room which had a double and a set of bunk beds. The decor was to a very high standard as was the quality of the furnishings and fittings. I can now report that the beds were the best I have ever slept on in a guest house! And the room was huge with great views. My daughters particularly liked the fact there was a Tassimo coffee machine in the room and a iPod radio thing. The ensuite shower room was to a similarly high standard.

Breakfasts,as reported elsewhere, were to a very high standard with lots of choice.

One afternoon we returned to the guest house shortly after lunch having got soaking wet at Honister slate mine just with the intention of showering and changing. We met Charlotte in the hallway and she offered to take clothes and dry them for us. This just typifies the level of service we received during our stay were nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.

A fantastic stay and a Guest House I cannot recommend highly enough

“Stylish comfort.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Rooms36 brings scandinavian elegance to the English Lakes.

Lotte and Andy have produced an atmosphere of a modern, bijou hotel in the Lakes. Rooms36 has been refurbished with the chintz table ware at breakfast the only reminder of a traditional B&B. Our room 2 was simple, adequately furnished with a lovely en-suite and what must be the most comfortable bed to be found in Keswick. The situation is ideal, being convenient for the town centre and Hope Park; so superior to the B&Bs across town. We loved being able to bring the dogs and to stroll with them to the lakeside in the morning and to return to enjoy breakfast and chatting with the owners and other guests.

What a bargain. Highly recommended.

Ros and Chris.

“Stylish establishment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

My friends booked this B&B based on a previous stay and assured me that I'd like it. They were not wrong!

Andy & Charlotte is very cleverly renovating the B&B with modern and old touches. The rooms are modern, very clean and spacious. I loved the bathroom & the locally produced bathroom accessories. Traditional english breakfast is served downstairs which will definitely provide you with the strength needed if you're going hiking. The location is good too - only a 5min walk under the footbridge to the town centre or to the ferry, park & theatre in the other direction. Wifi internet is available too at no charge. Just ask for the code.

“Spot on!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

Stayed at this B&B for 3 nights and wished it was more. Fab room, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom with the most gorgeous handcare products....we couldn't fault anything at all. The quality and presentation of the breakfast was particularly outstanding and Proprietors Andy and Charlotte were always on hand to answer our frequent 'touristy' questions. Very dog friendly too. Well done A & C - you've got it spot on!
