This was our fouth stay at Easedale guesthouse and as always there was a very warm welcome when we arrived. The management were so lovely as we told them it was a special occasion they upgraded our room free of charge.
Easedale house is literaly a 2 minute walk into Keswick square where there are shops, restarauntes and pubs and approx 5 minute walk down to the beautiful lake.
Full english breakfast and/or continental provided with excellent service.
When we arrived back after an afternoon walking there were complementary homemade mincepies awaiting our return - lovely touch.

Will definately return in 2012 - by far the best place to stay in the lovely town of keswick i would highly recomend it!

“Best so far!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Each year we have a boys (and old men!) walking weekend either in Snowdonia or the Lake District. Sometimes we have stayed in dives so this year we looked more carefully at where to stay. We did not want to stay at last years Keswick venue again, so based on TA reviews decided to stay at Easedale House. Good choice and easily the best b&b so far!
Fantastically clean and looks like it has recently been refurbed. As mentioned in many reviews, the Lemon Drizzle cake was great and it was good to have packets of biscuits each day. Free wifi too. (As I have said before, the bigger, more pretentious the hotel/b&b is, the less they provide or charge you for)
We arrived at 9.00 pm after a long drive and were made very welcome and shown up to our rooms. There was a small form on which to order breakfast which saves time the next morning.
Breakfast was very good with an excellent cooked option after the usual juices and cereals. Whats more, the fire was on and there were tablecloths and cloth napkins, not paper ones.
Bedrooms had flat screens tvs, good quality towels and bedding and shower gel, shampoo and bars of soap. Tea and coffee and hot chocolate sachets.
The residents lounge would have been useful if we had decided to stay in.
Whilst there is no car park, as at the vast majority of such establishments in Keswick, we had no problems in finding on street parking nearby.
The location is perfect for the town centre which was still lively even in late October. Also there are a number of excellent walks which can be accessed from the town centre.
All of us enjoyed our stay and we would return here if staying in Keswick again. Our only minor gripe was that one person thought his bed was a little hard.

“will definately be back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

A great welcome on arrival and very friendly throughout stay. Perfect position just off town centre. Breakfast first class being a big eater asked for extra sausage - no problemwhatever you liked was catered for, only had to ask. Room I was in had lovely view, very comfy.Met up with friends for reunion which co-incided with the annual beer festival. Held at local rugby club over 2 days the festival was excellent great beers , good music then back to Easedale for much needed rest/ recuperation. Just a short walk from Lake..Best holiday my wife and I have had together. Will be on the net checking out next years beer festival and also just a quiet break sometime in a great guest house in a lovely area, many thanks to staff, Regards DaiI and Karen

“Best in Keswick so far”

Stay for two nights in September 2011. Very impressed with large d/bed, lemon cake on arrival and although we did not use it a small residents lounge. Although a few pounds more expensive than lots of B&B's it was really worth it. We shall definitely be back

An exceptionally comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Rooms are large, well furnished and homely. Staff are welcoming a extremely helpful. Breakfasts are fantastic - great if you are planning a full day out. It is well located a three minute walk from the town square. A very enjoyable stay.
