We arrived late afternoon in Coniston after coming over the Hardknott Pass(not
for the faint hearted!!!)
Searching for a place to stay when we saw a little B&B sign sticking out. So we
drove into the parking area to ask if they had any availability. First thing we
saw are rabbits bouncing around in the beautiful gardens.
They have 3 rooms, Jenny's step mum showed us 2, we stayed in the 'Family room'
which I think is the largest. It was really pretty with views out the the
garden..
Jenny the owner was really nice and friendly. She cooked us a great full
english breakfast the next morning.
I don't think they have a internet site as this is a true old fashion family run
B&B.
The address is Lake Road, Coniston, 015394 41 127
That night we ate at 'The Black Bull' walking distance up the road, must try the
lamb with the mint sauce!! The staff are also really friendly.
We only stayed in Coniston for one night, wish we could of stayed longer. This
is a really pretty quite village.
