My wife and i stayed here for 5 days in late July. During this time there was a constant turnover of guests using the other 2 rooms and whom we only saw at breakfast.
As a B&B Browside is ideal. Helen and Allan are the ideal hosts - helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and polite without being intrusive. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice little patio outside although the weather was a bit too chilly to sit out for long.
There was a good choice of breakfast dishes and nothing was too much trouble. The food was cooked perfectly every day.
The location is quiet and rural with nearby access down to Coniston Lake, ideal for walking, running, cycling and swimming. My bike was locked up securely in the shed at night.
There are two pubs with good restaurants close by in Torver and many more further afield. I was not disappointed once with the food or service we received anywhere.
Sadly all good things come to an end but next time we are up in the Lakes we will definitely be staying at Browside again.....if there is a vacancy.

We choose to stay at Browside because of the excellent reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed! We stayed for two nights and found it to be in an ideal location, within a short beautiful drive of many great sights.

The owner Helen was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful recommending places to eat and visit. The breakfast room boosted gorgeous views of the surrounding area and was further complimented by the superb breakfast.

The rooms were immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard.

I would recommend anyone to come and stay, they will not be disappointed.

Great place to stay and very friendly, excellent views from our room with our own private garden. Lovely breakfast the next day with amazing views from the dining room.

The Church Inn pub about 5 mins away is the best restaurant we have eaten at in a long time only small so best to book but well worth it

My husband & I stayed at Browside for one night. I managed to book the night that morning as a last minute thing. Helen is extremely welcoming and everything is very clean. The room & bathroom were lovely with french doors out to a small sun trap patio. Excellent breakfast and we spent the evening at a local pub only 1/2 mile away through Helen's recommendation. Helen thanks for your advice regarding parking and walking paths in Coniston. We had a super day on Coniston Old Man so thanks for your help & a lovely B & B.
