We booked this house due to the amount of rooms we needed to accommodate our family of adults and young children. The standard of our room (room no.5) was terrible. The mattress was so old the springs were almost poking through and it sagged terribly in the middle. We ended up taking the duvet out of its cover to place over the mattress and I slept on cushions on the floor.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans etc with a big stove which could accommodate all of our cooking but the accommodation was very poor. Carpets were threadbare, furnishings were old and tatty, light fittings didn't work etc etc
If you have booked this or are planning to book it then good luck, just don't be prepared for anything exceptional.
The only plus point was that the kids could run around to their hearts content without the fear of any close by adult telling them off for damaging anything. They couldn't have made it any worse than it already was.
If you are staying here as a group then try and get one of the two four poster rooms on the 2nd floor, at least these were large and roomy and more comfortable.
