All very pleasant. My second stay (was here couple of years ago). Satnav (TomTom, anyway) doesn't quite take you there, it's a bit before you expect it. About five minutes from town centre at most.
Big free car park. As with most travelodges now, free wifi in bar area - a really good move! Just waiting for it to be free in the rooms...
Room good and clean, great TV with sleep function! However, no electronic program guide available. Not very warm, though; wish they would stick the heating on when they know people have booked and will turn up in the evening - especially when I arrived (with a number of colleagues), on one of the coldest nights for the year! The heaters take ages to heat the room...
They had prob with credit card readers when I was there. Bar couldn't accept cards (and couldn't process them, for some reason, on the reception reader...'Computer says no' they said... Rubbish IT department, methinks... Luckily had just enough spare real money...
Had gammon and chips, quite OK, good value. However no mustard! ('We don't have any here') and the tables were atrociously sticky - not been cleaned for ages..Cooked breakfast just about OK; I wish Travelodge would get larger side/bread plates, though, as all of them are not even big enough for a single slice of toast/bread.
