Comfortable, clean and ideally located within this delightful Lakes village

I went up to the Lakes with my good friends from Wales as I have been doing for many years . I am from Maryland in the States and have a restaurant business in a seaside resort called Ocean City . I appreciate others who take the time to write about their experience they have while dining at our cafe . So I am writing about the short but nice stay I had at the Park House Guest House . We have stayed at many different places in the Lakes , all of them have been fine , but you will not find a cleaner and friendlier place to stay then at the Park House .From the time we checked in with Paul and he showed us where to park to the beautiful breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon to the very clean bathroom it was a wonderful visit . I know what it's like to work in the tourist business and dealing with new faces on a daily basis . Paul treated us like we were family . I prefer staying at a small quaint place rather than a large hotel when visiting this very special area of England . Park House fit that to a tee !! Thanks

This was a last minute booking made on the spur of the moment to enable us to enjoy some Autumn sunshine in the lakes. The Park House is ideally situated in Ambleside with all the local facilities just a short walk away. The guest house overlooks the putting green with views of the hills beyond from the rooms. We booked two single rooms which are small but have everything you need - a comfortable bed, wardrobe, wash basin, tea/coffee making facilities and a TV/DVD player. The two single rooms share a bathroom which is modern but across a landing for one room and down the stairs for the other room. As we were only staying one night this did not present a problem and robes are thoughtfully provided. We received a warm welcome from the owner and there are designated car parking spaces just a couple of minutes walk away. The breakfast is cooked to order and portions are generous. Recommended!

We spent four nights with Paul and Diane at Park House. A very warm welcome was given to us when we arrived. Our room was delightful, en-suite, very clean, beautifully decorated and with a lovely view. Our breakfasts were cooked to perfection with plenty to choose from. The guidance received on where to eat was very helpful. An ideal spot for exploring the lake district either on foot or by car. Park House has a charming relaxed atmosphere and you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We would highly recommend Paul and Diane to others wanting to visit the area. It was a pleasure to stay and we would not hesitate to return there again.
