“Fantastic hosts and great breakfast!”

We've just arrived home from a night away in Ambleside at the Kingswood Bed & Breakfast. The Hosts were very friendly, the room was very spacious, very comfy bed, very quiet-great nights sleep. Lovely bathroom - all toiletries provided etc. Very clean. Fantastic breakfast, particularly loved the homemade bread(i think it was homemade). Lot's of extras like books to read etc...would definately reccommend - thankyou. If you ever come to York, pleae visit us at Heidi's Bed & Breakfast x

Room Tip: all rooms great

“For me, best B&B in 2011”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Following the disappointment of my usual accommodation in the Northern Lake District being fully booked, I decided on a stay in Ambleside. Having researched Ambleside's accommodation many years before, this was the B&B that best suited my needs for comfort, space, car park and proximity to the town.
On arriving, David was very professional in his approach and had a subtle sense of humour that was evident in the Breakfast room.
The award winning breakfast was amazing and made with top quality products and the bed was comfortable for a good five nights sleep.
No stone is left unturned in making the guest feel special and welcome as the uniqueness and branding of the establishment is second to none, with the attention to detail from the breakfast table, first floor landing games & media library to the finer points of the bedroom. The improvements made from the previous two owners take this business into a different league and indeed with the room modifications, I could once again feel confident about booking a single room here once again.
No doubt I've harmed my chances of getting booked up now which was the same reason why I couldn't get booked up in the accommodation I mentioned at the start of this review !!

“A***** Fantastic stay over Christmas”

We stayed at Kingswood bee & bee for two nights over Christmas. Christine & David were very helpful, kind and nothing was too much trouble, we were a family of 11 looking for a relaxing break were we could all be together to enjoy a memorable Christmas. We were cooked a superb Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, at a very good price. Our two children were presented with a gift and were made to feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious, clean, very warm and the bed very comfy, our children were allowed to sleep in their sleeping bags, which they really enjoyed. The breakfasts were outstanding with lots of choice of fresh local produce!!
we thank David & Christine for a wonderful enjoyable stay. :-) A*****

“Just like visiting old friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

This is only the second time we have stayed with David and Christine because they are always booked up when we are in the area. The personal touch they bring to the business is well worth seeking out and puts them above other, purely adequate establishments. My husband has recently had to give up wheat products and we forget to let places know but it came up in conversation and Christine went out of her way to ensure that he had gluten free toast and sausage for breakfast each morning, typical of the care and consideration given. We stayed in the 'Ashness' room this time - an enormous bed and comfy sofa to curl up on whilst waiting for my husband to emerge from the lovely double sized shower. A wonderful breakfast was made even better with the delightful company of the proprietors and their beautifully trained young dog, nattering about alsorts until we had to tear ourselves away to drive home. To us, staying here is one of the many reasons for coming to the Lake District.

“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We have stayed here 3 times now and we will be staying again, our recent trip October again it was excellent Christine and David made us feel really welcome and our room as always was first class, breakfast was outstanding and set us up for a days walking.
We love the fridge outside our room stocked with fresh milk and room to put our bottles of wine there are also wine glasses and a bottle opener great touch. The Bee and Bee is just a few short yards to all the local aminities.
Thank you once again for your hospitality and we will be seeing you in the near future.

Room Tip: We always have Bethany the room is excellent very clean and well decorated
