This was our 2nd visit to Kirkstone with our dog and it wont be our last. We will definately be returning next year. The apartments are very comfortable and they are in an ideal location for exploring Ambleside and beyond. Ian & Jackie are very welcolming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Its is a 2 minute walk to the centre of Ambleside and the majority of the places are very dog friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending Kirkstone Foot.

We have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday at Kirkstone Foot.We like it more each time we go.Ian& Jackie looked after us well.We stayed in the Manor House in a warm and cosy one bed apartment, just perfect for a winter break.The place was immaculate when we arrived. Lots of hot water, fluffy towels flat screen tv,sony dvd player,dishwasher and a warm comfortable bed.We could not fault the welcome we got.The whole place deserves 10 gold stars and its only 3 minutes from the centre of Ambleside ideal if you want a meal or a drink or two.It does not get better than this!!!

Visited several times but the friendly welcome is always the same. Even in November and March the apartments are always cosy - and spotlessly clean. Good for dining out in Ambleside as you can walk down the hill to the wide choice of "eateries" and leave your car in your reserved space. The sound of Stock Ghyll will lull you to sleep. The apartments are very well kitted out from cutlery to cafetiere !

It was our first time at Kirkstone Foot. The location is perfect being a short walk into the centre of Ambleside. The whole place was spotlessley clean and well maintained. I can recommend the Thai restaurant. Our thanks to Ian and Jackie for making us feel so welcome.
