we've just got back from another briiliant week at the lakes, the weather was fantastic and kirkstone foot never fails to be the perfect place to stay, we stayed in orchid for the first time and i can't praise this appartment enough, its decoration is lovely and light in all rooms but my favourite was the bedroom with a door out on to a private terrace which is perfect for sitting for the first cup of tea of day or enjoying the afternoon sun with a glass of wine and a good book, Ian and jackie are always friendly and welcoming and the apartments are always clean and well equipped can't wait to go back,

Gina and I have as above, just returned home from another visit to these award winning apartments. The previous reviews speak for themselves, so all I will add is that we have stayed here before and will return again next year. This is our home from home in the Lakes and it is our view that Kirkstone Foot is the ideal place to stay. The owners, Ian and Jackie deserve all the awards and compliments they receive. Give the place a try, I believe you will not be disappointed.

Once again we spent another wonder week at Kirstone foot Apartments. This time we stayed in Yewdale and again found the apartment spotlessly clean and excellent for two people. Ian and his staff again were very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in these apartment for going 5years and will be back again very soon. Cannot wait to get back

Something that's very often hard to find Ambleside is free parking with accomodation. This is not a problem at Kirkstone Foot, each apartment has it's own allocated space. The apartment itself (Bassenthwaite) was very comfortable and clean with good central heating (we needed it even in August!) and plenty of hot water. Lovely views across the town and fells to the south. Well located for all local amenities, a two minute stroll downhill to the town centre. We would recommend this complex to anyone seeking decent self catering accomodation.
