We stayed in the family suite and were very pleased with the services. Sue was very welcoming and accommodating and made our stay most comfortable considering we had 5 months baby with us. Breakfast was wholesome and according to our liking. Room was very cosy and comfortable. Had free wi-fi as well. Had free parking just outside the B&B. We would definitely stay there again.

We walked across the Helvellyn range into Ambleside and had a very restful stay in this lovely B& B. Very friendly (but professional) service. The place is immaculate. They were happy to accept our late arrival in Ambleside (11pm) and our arrangements which changed over the weekend. Also happy to accomodate vegetarians. We had a large twin room which was great but the other rooms we saw (a double and a single) were both small to the point of feeling cramped.

This is a great little bed & breakfast on one of the main roads in Ambleside. The room we were given was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and you can have cereal/juices followed by a full english to start the day. The landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome and were helpful, giving information on the buses, and looking after our luggage for the day after we had checked out.

I would also reccommend Zefferelli's restaurant for the film and meal deal. Excellent food and good value with the film included.

After reading the other reviews the only conclusion i come to is that some of the rooms in this place fall well below the stanard of others. Our room was cramped and the bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. The shower pressure was non existant which wasnt such a bad thing as the shower appeared to have drainage problems. Car parking is a difficult issue as there is no private parking and the on street parking is very competive even with a permit. Location is good as its right in the middle of ambleside. I would reccomend that people try some of the other accomadtion in ambleside
