We spent a pleasant weekend in the Wordsworth Guest House, Ambleside in September 2011. The premises was very clean and tidy and we received a warm welcome from the proprietors on arrival. The twin room in which we stayed was spacious, well decorated and quiet. The en-suite facility was newly fitted and clean with a decent warm shower. Breakfast was very enjoyable with excellent service and a good choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt and cooked breakfast. If I visited the Wordsworth Guest House again, I would like see more tea, coffee, milk made available in the room, also the WiFi, although it worked, was a bit hit and miss. Overall I would certainly recommend this guest house.

This is a lovely guest house. Really can't fault it : comfortable, clean, friendly, and breakfast was tasty with rapid service. Highly recommended to all, would love to come back!

This is a great setting for a trip to the lakes, Ambleside may be pricing itself out of the food and drink contest for tourists, but the Wordsworth Guest house was wonderful, from the newly decorated room with new and very clean en-suite shower room, to the very friendly, but not 'in your face' owners who look after you very well and also cook a great breakfast to set you up for the day.
Free passes were avaialable to the local fitness centre also.
Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the part few years and although can be expensive we have always had a pleasant stay. I have a seven year old daughter who loves the pool facilities and we have always had a very relaxing time. Look out for special offers when available. Dinner expensive if you dont get in a package however for the quality it is probably the going rate. Food really good - lovely breakfasts and very nice staff.
