“Nice new Travelodge, would use again.”

Stayed just the one night before catching a Dover ferry a couple days before christmas. Hotel looked virtually new, very clean and tidy. There is room for a few cars in a little pull in outside the hotel. Fine to checkin and drop bags off. We did a bit of shopping at the massive Asda a few miles away and got the timing right for the car park next to the hotel. I think it was after 7pm the overnight is cheaper, only until 8am though. This multistorey was well lit, had cameras up and we managed to park on the bottom floor at the front, it seemed safe enough there.
We checked into our room which, by luck was one on the second floor I think right at the front of the hotel. If we hadn't of arrived at night and left before the sun came up the views of the harbour would have been great. No film on the windows like I have seen previous reviews mention. Standard TLodge room, all very spick and span.
As we were at the front I was expecting some noise, there was quite noisy karaoke from the pub next door, and a few boy racers playing on the mini roundabout. Ear plugs are standard for me and it wasn't a problem.
Had a few beers in the bar and a bit of food, Sharon even got some extra gravy on her lamb shank thing and my pizza was fine.
All the staff were friendly and pleasant.
This was a cheaper alternative to using the Ashford Lodge on that particular night, it's possible a little further to the port but not much and i'd use it again. Hopefully arriving a little earlier so we could have a look around.

checked into my room very late onn thursday evening with my children due to traffic on the roads getting in to ramsgate, once we got there didnt know where to park but went into reception and was directed and given prices by the young male receptionist, the hotel room was as clean as it could be for a budget hotel, the view from our room was ok not the best but was good, the receptionist was very helpful in setting up the beds for the children as we had phoned early to advice that we would be late and he asked if i would like him to make up the beds ready for the children to get straight into which i think was great service, the breakfast in the morning was very nice espically as it was kids eat free and for an all you can it i would say was pretty cheap at £7.95, on check in there was still people in the bar but they were quiet so wasnt much noise coming from them, which again was pretty good, the male receptionist was very helpful on check giving us all information about times for breakfasts check out times and if we needed any help just pop back and he would gladly help, overall i would say this is the best travelodge i have stayed in and the young lad is a brilliant advert to customer service at travelodge ramsgate and is a credit to the company, will definatly be staying at this hotel again.

“Brilliant Hotel. Brilliant Views. Brilliant Location!”

Stayed here for two nights over new year. I phoned the week before and asked if we can have a seaview room, and the friendly receptionist confirmed it was all booked. Overjoyed when we arrived to find we had a brilliant corner room overlooking the harbour. You could lie in the bed looking out the window to the boats in the harbour and the sea beyond! Absolutely superb!

Its location right in the harbour and alongside the bars and pubs is perfect too. For travelodge prices this is exceptional value and you really can't complain!

Special thanks to the friendly staff throughout the weekend, it must be hard work to work over this weekend but you really made us feel very welcome! We really had a brilliant stay.

This is the best travelodge we have ever stayed in (And we have stayed in a few!) it really does put most of the others to shame.

The car parking isn't an issue the car park over the road felt safe enough, theres a police station nearby and its covered with CCTV. (Its pay and display though and is cheaper if you just put a few days on (£6 for 3 days)).

I didn't notice any traffic noise nor any loud music even though I stayed sober and am a very light sleeper.

Can't wait to come back and we will soon!

Room Tip: Call a week before and request a sea view room. There's not many though.

“What a great place !”

This hotel could not be better located. it is clean ,comfortable and splendid value.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. The bar and breakfast area are wonderfully light and the sun comes pouring in during the morning. There is no better place to have a short break on a budget at any time of year. I wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend this hotel to you.
If you get there early enough you can ask for a sea view and there are plenty of cosy pubs, restaurants and interesting shops a mere stone's throw away. Go ! Before they put the prices up.

Room Tip: Get there early for a sea / harbour view
