My husband and I have just returned from a 5 night break at the Premier Inn Dover (A20) and were very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. We paid £29.00 per room per night which was exceptional value and the low prices definitely do not reflect the standards in the hotel!

We were greeted warmly and everything was explained to us when we arrived (breakfast times, room servicing, etc.) and when we saw our room (Room 20), we were very impressed. It was a large, airy, clean room with a king size bed and settee. It was explained to us that our bedding would be changed every 3 days (not sure if it was, though) and our towels would be changed daily (these definitely were.)

On passing reception, the staff would always greet you and ask if you needed anything. We got the impression that nothing was too much trouble and if you had a problem (we didn't), it would be sorted out immediately.

The decor of the whole hotel was very fresh and looked clean and for safety (because of the snow), the paths outside were gritted daily.

There were a few tiny issues (that wouldn't put us off staying again), but hopefully by seeing them here, Premier Inn will be able to act upon them:

1) The shower is very weak and you cannot take the head off the holder, which I do prefer to do as it makes showering much easier for me.

2) Our room was not hoovered throughout our stay and this made the carpet look quite dusty. Perhaps they could check that cleaning staff are hoovering all of the rooms daily.

3) Reception was sometimes unmanned which made booking the Meal Deal very difficult, plus the booking system and printer rarely worked when we booked the Meal Deal, which lead to a few delays when we were short on time.

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here and would definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

TIP: There were 3 plug sockets in the room so if you have a lot of electrical equipment to charge, take a trailing socket with you. This is a good tip for any hotel.

There are stairs to the first floor and no lift, so pack light!
