We stayed with family - having 3 rooms for two night stay on Telegraph deal. Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. Disturbed by inconsiderate guests at 2.30am. Did not eat there as had other plans. Unfortunately Dockyards were closed but plan to return.

I use the Encore at Chatham for my business clients when they need to stay for the night. I stayed on New Years Eve as my partner and I wanted a quiet New Year and I knew the Encore would be quiet. The hotel was full with other couples stay there attending parties in the area, this meant my partner and our group of 5 people had the bar to ourselves for most the night.

The rooms in the Encore are modern, beds are comfortable and the rooms have A/C. The hotel is located within the Chatham Historic Dockyard, Dockside shopping centre is 5 minutes walk from the hotel, there are various restaurants around the Dockside area to cater to most tastes.

Their is ample free parking at the hotel itself , breakfast is self service and the selection is good. The staff are helpful and the public areas are clean, free WiFi is available in the public areas. There is no gym but if you are a runner (or walker) there are routes that take you along the river and marina , which in the spring and summer is very nice.

Overall the Ramada Encore is the best hotel for the price (about £85 B&B) in the Medway towns. My one criticism would be that the reception needs a bell so that staff know someone is waiting.

Just a one night stay and we found it very pleasant and more than meet our requirements. Modern, and tastefully furnished, with a fabulous large shower. A real plus for this hotel is being in walking distance to the Historic Dockyards - a fantastic place to visit with the kids.
