“Lovely Place to stay”

This B&B is a really lovely place to stay in Canterbury. We stayed there over Easter and I fully recommend the White House. Beautifully decorated, attention to detail, comfortable beds, extremely clean and centrally located. The breakfast was great too! Two things I would add: on a previous post I read a criticism of Adrian (one of the couple that own the business), on his abrupt manner, I didn't find this the case, he was extremely pleasant and helpful, great communication, very good advice on places to eat and friendly. I suppose its difficult to please everyone! Also someone mentioned difficulties with parking. As with lots of towns and cities in the UK Canterbury has narrow streets and lanes, and parking is always an issue. There is a big car park very close by (I think it maybe a council owned one) reasonably priced( yes I know we'd all like free parking!) and easily accessible. We would definetly stay here again. Thank you.

“A lovely place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

Adrian and Sharon were great hosts and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was lovely and the location excellent. It was easy walking distance to everything, but off the beaten path. Nestled between two parks and close to two great pubs with large outdoor seating areas where locals hang out (the Dolphin and the Parrot--which is in the oldest building in town), this was the perfect place to stay in Canterbury.

Room Tip: The contemporary 4-poster bed is a bit squeaky, so it is not for restless sleepers. Otherwise, the...

“Great Place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

Stayed at the White House for my wife’s birthday as we wanted to visit Canterbury again as we were at University there. We would stay there again and it is a very clean and welcoming place. As soon as we arrived Adrian was there to greet us and show us to our room. There they had left us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate my wife birthday which was very nice. Adrian also booked us in at Deeson’s restaurant which was very good. All in all we have a great time in Canterbury and will be back and will stay at The White House again.

“Superb accomodation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

Six of us stayed at the White House, the night before my daughters graduation. Our celebrations were made extra special by the warm and courteous welcome we received from Adrain, which was greatly appeciated after a long journey. The White House has been beautifully designed and decorated and has resulted in a homely and inviting accomodation. The choice of Breakfast was just right as was the taste!
If you want to stay in Canterbury and be close to the city centre, but without the noise, this is the place. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Stayed at the White House for two nights, room was very clean and tastefully furnished as was the rest of the accommodation. Would highly recommend The White House and would defiantly return.
