We were given a warm, friendly and genuine welcome from Michelle to Bluebells and it just got better.

We had the Orchid Room on the top floor, being a fit 62 the stairs were no problem.
Our bedroom by English standards has HUGE. Our ensuite was as a big as a bedroom we stayed at in Colchester. The furnishings are first class, the bed very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Everything was spotless. The wi-fi signal was not strong enough for a connection in the room, which was disappointing but it did work well on the stairs one flight down and in the dining room. The breakfast was first class and plentiful.

As we wroten in the guest book, "The second best B&B in England, only because we haven't found number 1."

Highly recommended, particularly the Orchid Room.

Stayed at Bluebells for two nights to celebrate hubby's birthday. The road that is Wincheap is a real mixture of properties, residential, commercial and other B&B establishments. Bluebells is a real gem with lots of period details retained and tastefully decorated to compliment its features. Although the bathroom (exclusive use) is at the end of the landing, towelling gowns and slippers were provided to make the journey. This reflected the other niceties provided by Michelle, our bedroom was furnished with a lovely big bed with plumb pillows, throws and cushions, along with the little touches of chocolates & biscuits and the provision of wine glasses (we usually end up with the plastic glasses from hotel bathrooms!) giving an air of luxury.
A ten to fifteen walk into the City, a really good place to base yourself for a trip to this lovely City.

Stayed for 3 nights. We loved the room, it's like a princess room. The guesthouse in itselve is lovely. The owner has a great look on details & decoration.
great breakfast, great bed. not too far from the east station & centre.

stayed here for one night for business trip. Room clean, comfortable and lots of lovely finishing touches. breakfast large and excellent. close to canterbury east station and not too far from city centre.
