Myself and a couple of girlfirends stayed here on a Saturday night after visiting Canterbury for the day.

The owner was pleasant enought but the room we stayed in looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The carpet needed a good hoover and there was dust on every shelf and flat surface.

It's a lovely building but needs a massive overhaul to bring it up to date.

On the whole it was just somewhere to sleep for us but I definitely wouldn't go back.

I stayed at Ersham Lodge for one night with a friend during a visit to Canterbury. The room was fine, if pretty dated, and cleanliness average. The road outside is very noisy - it doesn't keep me awake, but might be a consideration for light sleepers. There was wireless internet, which I appreciated a lot. It's also conveniently directly on the bus line.

Breakfast was good, with a lot of fruit on offer. It was nothing special as far as B&Bs go, but nothing to complain about either.

A 3 min drive from the station, the Ersham lodge is a warm welcoming little gem in Canterbury where you will feel instantly right at home. The best thing about this quaint little place would be the breakfast, but despite the delicious, filling meal the breakfast is outshined only by the excellent hospitality of the hosts.

The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, also kind of roomy by UK standards; loads of magazines in the lobby. The lodge is 5 mins walk to the centre of town, great shopping and overall great fun.

Canterbury is a wonderful escape, I was there over graduation. The Ersham lodge is by far the best value for money stay I have had anywhere in the world, loved it! Will definitely be back!

stayed here a couple of times now,rooms are clean and tidy,and the rates are excellent considering it is so close to the city centre.Landlady is very friendly,no problems staying here whatsoever.On reading the other reviews on how nice the breakfasts are I must try and get up early enough to sample it!
