I checked into the suite they have for a relaxing weekend while in the UK on business. It was great. The room was nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were great and I really enjoyed a nice drink chatting with some folks in the bar. Canterbury is a great place to visit and I'll definitely be back to this hotel.

I had the pleasure to stay at Thanington for a short weekday break with my partner. We booked a four poster room for two nights. The room was bigger than expected, with everything that we needed for a couple of days. Lovely breakfast!!! Swimming pool a plus!!

We stayed here with our two young children last weekend. The hotel itself was great for us - good sized room, comfy beds, the pool looked fab, excellent breakfast. It was a shame therefore that I was not allowed to finish my glass of wine while watching the football in the tv room, which apparently they had to lock when the bar closed at 11. It's all very well suggesting that I could take it to my room and watch tv there, but that's not easy when the family is sound asleep! Shame, because otherwise it would have been an even better stay for us.

We booked for two nights but was so impressed with the hotel we stayed for three. The room was spotless and tastfully decorated,it had a swimming pool which was very clean. The bar was very cosy and welcoming, and the breakfast superb. The garden was lovely with a fish pond a nice retreat for summer evenings. All staff were friendly and attentive. The walk to the town centre was a 5 min straight walk away. The location was spot on.
