The room was cold. The bathroom was not fresh. Lack of parking in close proximity to the entrance. Very slow and poor service in the restaurant. Problem with the TV alarm. Insufficient light to work effectively and efficiently. A thoroughly miserable place in which to stay.

The room was very quiet during all three of the nights we stayed there. The bed was comfortable. There was a chilly wind blowing which caused a draught through the window but this disappeared when the curtains were drawn. The room was initially chilly but soon warmed up. The thermostat was easy to use and the room was comfortable. It was our first stay in a Premier Inn and we were impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, even taking the trouble to show us a disabled room when we enquired for our friend in a wheelchair. All the staff took an interest in our destination suggesting places we might visit. Extra tea was given freely with the promise of more should we need it.

This Premier Inn is of a very high standard. The rooms were a good size and staff were all friendly and helpful - the receptionist was particularly efficient when checking in considering this was nearly 9pm at night. The hotel was quiet and close to Newport town centre. The adjoining Medina Quay Table Table restaurant was very good value for money and is highly recommended for those on a budget, although not for those who are keen on sampling local produce from the Island.

Had a great stay again, used it as a base for exploring the area and managed to see all of the Isle of Wight. Weather great , plenty of parking spaces cannot complain about anything .
Cannot wait for our repeat trip to Bournemouth's West cliff in Feb.
