Stayed here with two German colleagues for two nights. We all had single rooms in another building away from the main building. The Hotel is made up of three seperate buildings, but all next to one another, like three big houses really. Single rooms are small, but very clean, comfortable and warm. Freeview TV in each room, tea & coffee making facilites. Had a really good night's sleep. Breakfast was buffet of cereals, juices, fruit, yoghurts etc, and a freshly cooked English if required. Very nice it was too, good quality sausages and bacon. Didn't eat in the restaurant, but did have a drink in the bar, prices much the same as a pub, so OK. All in all, very nice. My German colleagues said it was the best of the three hotels they had now been to in St Albans, and they would definitely return here next time. That says it all really.
