After a long journey through France, a long ferry crossing, we booked in here for an overnight stop. This is not the place of anybody's dreams but a place to sleep. In that it does what it says. The rooms are quiet, large beds though ours had a rather springy mattress. It was clean, had the basic things you need but \I@ve no enthusiasm for the place. The rooms need to be aired during the day, the corridors and rooms smelt musty. Food it supplied by the LIttle Chef chain and most people will doubtless be familiar with it. However book in advince and rooms are cheap.

As with one of the previous reviewers, we were on our way to the South coast for a ferry.
The room was OK, the bathroom not exactly spotless but I've seen worse. It was quiet however and we all slept well. The front office staff were quite pleasant.
This Travelodge is one of those that shares a site with a Little Chef. This Little Chef was, well, OK. Again I've seen worse. The staff were not so pleasant as I rememebered from a previous visit.
And so we were on our way, rested and ready for the remainder of our holiday.

We stayed overnight on our way to Southampton Docks. We liked the quietness of it's situation and the room was basic but clean. Also the bed was extremely comfortable. A short walk over to the services saw not the best service station we've ever stayed in. It really needs updating but it in no way detracted from the stay in the hotel. The staff weren't the most attentive, when we asked for the extra duvets which hadn't been put in the room for our children we were greeted by a not so friendly attitude. Fair enough she seemed busy but customer service was poor. We have booked there again when we go to Southampton Docks again this year and have every confidence the stay will be as comfortable as last year.

what a shabby desolate hotel. Inadequate lighting in the car park greets you when you arrive. Try to arrive in daylight because the on line instructions on finding the hotel are wrong.

Receptionist was not awful but the room was bleak. On the surface clean but underneath yuk. The kettle was so dirty I was not prepared to boil it for a cup of tea. The only amenity provided was a pubic hair, no bath mat or hair dryer, the pillows are tiny and flat and the quilt is thin. The room was cold and the only chair uncomfortable. The soffa bed looked foul.
