Two friends and I shared a family room while staying in the area for a wedding. The room was a great size, with plenty of space, and the beds were very comfortable. Really liked being able to choose my own pillows! Great shower and so nice to have proper full size bath towels. Also liked the under-sink lighting so you don't have turn the light on in the night! Staff were all very accommodating and friendly.

Only slight gripe was having to get an access code for the 30 mins of free internet, especially since the phone reception (on my network at least) wasn't good on the lower ground floor where our room was.

Not the fault of the hotel (obviously) but we did find taxis to/from the city centre varied enormously in price, even at the same time of day - we paid between £6 and £14 for a one way journey.

Would definitely stay here again if I was after good quality, comfortable, affordable accommodation.

I visited this lovely hotel for my son's wedding in October 2011, i found it easily on the outskirts of the city of Winchester, it was clean and the staff were very good, with nothing to much trouble for them. The hotel has plenty of parking beside the hotel and you are made to feel very welcome. Lovely Hotel.

Hotel was well above average for a Hoiday Inn and staff were lovely and friendly. Just be aware that i did get charged twice for my stay. Once by lastminute.com and again at the hotel. The hotel were good and refunded without arguement, but its just something to be aware of. I'd stay again though!

Once you find the hotel, I am sure you'll be as delighted as I was. The staff were first-class and allowed me to park my treasured Harely near the main entrance.

I was delighted by the standard of the food, in fact, I'd go so far as to say this was the finest hotel meal I've had in any hotel in the UK.

Holiday Inn would be well advised to use the Holiday Inn Winchester as its benchark for excellence at all of its hotels world-wide!

Treat yourself to the suite, you won't be disappoined. I was genuinely sad to leave, what better recommendation can anyone offer?
