I have stayed at Ellenborough House several times now whilst studying at Southampton Uni. Nicola never fails to provide a warm welcome, delicious home-cooked breakfasts, and as much help as she can offer with any special requests. The rooms are more than adequately furnished, clean and warm. I chose not to have an en-suite and never had any problem accessing the shared bathroom facilities, which are also very adequate. I previously stayed at a different B&B in the area which was not comparable in any way - other than in price; good value and friendly service such as that offered at Ellenborough House is not a given and I would not hesitate to recommend it to other travellers.

I had to make an unexpected trip from Australia to Southampton for my Father's funeral. I found Nicola to be extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. I was impressed with the professional service that the guest house offered, its wide range of breakfast options, high standard of cleanliness, excellent vacinity, no noise and the value for money. I found it to be a bright, clean and cheerful place to stay. I would certainly look at staying again if the occasion arose. Thanks heaps Nicola

We have been staying at Ellenborough House for thirteen years and have enjoyed it each time. We have been made to feel most welcome and have met some interesting people from all over the world during our visits. The rooms are clean, there is plenty of variety for breakfast, we cannot fault anything and that's why we look forward to coming up to Southampton at least twice a year and staying at Ellenborough House.

Needed somewhere to stay while we visit our son in university. We were welcomed by Nicola and shown a lovely room. The breakfast was lovely and the atmosphere very friendly. We will definitely look forward to staying there again next time we visit.
