This place is definitevely good for a cheap stay in Southampton. The owner of the guest house is kind and honest, but the breakfast time is too short and last too early. We had a room with shower, but without the toilet, which was out of the room. When we woke up we could smell the fried bacon from the kitchen, but luckly out of our room.
Anyway we walked through all Southampton to find an accomodation, seeing more than 15 B&B and guest house, and this had the lowest price. More over the location is perfect, since it's near the town centre. So, if you don't want to spend a lot of money, this place is ok!

We've stayed in Polygon Guest House for 3 nights. The old lady (staff? or the owner? I dont know) is quite nice and helpful. But you better not to borther her so much or you'd better let the job done by yourself. ^^
The environment of dinning room is excellent with traditional England style interior decoration.
The guesthouse is always full booking. Recommand you to book it as early as you can.
However, you may heard drunk people talk/screaming in the street at mid-night :P But I think it is only occassionally.

This place is o.k. for a cheap stay. Its clean and fairly comfortable, however I would warn anyone hoping to have a late check out, this will not be possible. After a works party and late night, I had the joy of the landlady banging on the door every 10mins from just before 9am till checkout time of 10am. Shouting at me to get up and get out, "Its a 10am checkout and you better get out". By 9.55am she was shouting "Why haven't you gone yet? you know you should be out by now!" This is not what you need on anyday, nevermind whith a hangover! I wondered why I was made to pay up front on arrival, maybe things would have been slightly friendlier if I still had had to pay!!!
