I've stayed here a few times now and I've always thought of its location as one of the weirdest I've ever seen. Convenient and fairly central, but built on a busy roundabout it's a nightmare to enter either by car or foot (in fact - according to others - I didn't even know it had its own car park). Nonetheless the hotel is nice enough and what you'd expect from a Jury's.
A couple of things grated for me: first, the shower. How is it in this day and age, hotels, let alone hotels of any note, still use shower curtains? These curtains are those that get drawn in by water and will cling to the person like iron filings to a magnet. At one point I felt I was going to be mummified by the wretched thing and the maid was going to find me the next morning suffocated, cocooned in this wretched thing, due to water cascading down and overflowing to the next floor. The other thing that I can live with but find irritating is the fixed shower head. This means the height can't be altered, and due to that, nether does it have a great deal of flexibility.
Secondly, the pillows are very thin and whereas you might only need one at home, you'd need two here.
Nonetheless, I will be using this Jury's again - I have to get over to Southampton for my own reasons and it's convenient and cheap enough (booked via hotel websites anyway).
Views can be good, more so if you overlook the river for the shipping.
