We booked for 1 night so that we could be close to the Guildhall for a graduation ceremony the next day. The location was great for that purpose and for easy access into the city centre shops.
On checking in, the receptionist was efficient with the paperwork but not particularly helpful with directions to our room, or any other general information. The lift was not working but we were only on the first floor and our room was clean and comfortable, although fairly small. The en-suite was comparatively large and all the waterworks worked ok.
We had a flat screen TV on the wall at the end of the bed which was great. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, although there was no coffee!
There was a leisure centre at the Hotel, with pool, sauna etc. but we didn't have time to use it.
Breakfast was good with a choice of hot food, cereals, toast, juices, croissants, tea/coffee.
Car parking is a bit of a pain as it is only available at the NCP car park behind the Hotel, at £1.20/hour for the first few hours, rising to £10 for 24 hours. At some Hotels parking is free.
Overall an ok experience which we would repeat on a future occasion, at the right price.
