Delighted to get a last minute vacancy. Clean and well-ordered room with superbly comfortable bed. Huge, tasty breakfast served by welcoming staff. Steve left his TV football to pour me a much-needed glass of wine after my journey and he and Lyn looked after my luggage while I passed the following morning at the shops - within walking distance.
I couldn't have asked for more!

The couple running this place are lovely and very helpful if you need tips in where to go etc. The room was fine and very clean but bathroom was very small which didn't bother me except for you had to basically climb over the toilet to get in the shower! The shower itself was good and spacious though. Breakfast was good but finishes at 9 even on Sunday! However they were kind enough to call up and remind us of this when we hadn't showed yet at 5 to!

We planned on visiting Winchester and Salisbury by train during the two days we were in Southampton before our cruise. It was the main reason we chose this B & B because it's just a stone's throw from the train station. It turned out to be a good choice in other ways, as well. Though the decor might give Martha Stewart the vapors, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Breakfast in the cheerful dining room was much above the average with fresh mushrooms, excellent coffee and the best black pudding I've ever had. Best of all, the proprietors are friendly and extremely helpful; they'll hold your bags after check out until you're ready to leave, call a taxi, etc. We'd stay there again.
