We spent two nights here in room #1. the room itself over-looked the harbour. It was directly above the breakfast room. The amenities tray was very well stocked. The bed was really comfortable. Although the television was a bit small we only watched it when we got in at night.

The breakfasts were amazing and you were offered all manner of combinations. The portion sizes were just right. Made with excellent quality ingredients!

All of the local facilities were about 10-15 mins walk. There's a very handy millennium pathway that leads you straight to Gunwharf Quays and The Spinaker Tower.

The last word has to go to our fantastic hosts Maggie and Mike. They work tirelessly to make it a great stay for you. Even when we arrived at 7pm Mike was taking calls. Do these lovely people get a rest?! We ended up chatting to them for over an hour when we checked out!

Fortitude Cottage...a real must!

The position is wonderful. Near the water, great pub up the road, easy walk to shopping centre and Dockyard. Lovely owners who are very helpful and a wonderful breakfast in a room overlooking the water and ferries.

Only downside would be a bit of stuffiness in the rooms.

After travelling from hull we arrived at the fortitude to a nice welcome from Maggie she made us feel very welcome, we had two double rooms which were beautifully decorated clean and of good size,the next morning we had a delicious breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room overlooking the spinnaker tower and the harbour!! A fantastic place to stay we will definateley be booking again, a real hidden gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in the Penthouse for 2 nights 23rd-25th November 2011.The accommadation was excellent.The view from the roof top was out of this world.Breakfast was 1st class.When we arrived we were given a parking permit to display in the car park across the road.There are a number of pubs within a few minutes walk, that do evening meals.Our hosts Maggie and Mike could have not been more helpfull.Will recommend to family and friends.
