A lovely hotel. Our first stay, as this hotel is local to home, but had the chance to stay in this wonderful historic hotel. Our room over looked Southsea common. :-) even though the staff were only told in the last 24 hours the hotel was up for sale, they were very helpful and cheerful. The only thing that spoilt our stay was the buffet breakfast, which was luke warm, due to the water keeping the food warm, was cooling, even though breakfast started at 7am, although we were at breakfast just after 8am, and do not think the price of £12.95 is justified, if not included in the room price.
Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the common, rooms over the road are noisy, when the clubs empty.
