It's been quite a long time i went to my fiancee to this hotel, but i think they deserve a very good review, as everything went very well.

As parents of a little girl of 2years old, we do appreciate going sometimes away as my lovely parents in law keep the little monster. We decided to go to Portsmouth as it's not too far away from where we live. We decided to have a treat and book a Marriott as a nice week end only both of us (we had a good excuse to see a show in the lovely theatre in Portsmouth).

It is a bit far away from the main center of the city (but there's plenty of buses to go there if you don't have any cars).

The outside is not great, like all those big hotels, but there's definitly a wow factor when you're coming inside. They did refurbish not so long ago, and it did look really nice. The check in was really nice, with a smile. We had a nice room, with two double beds (just in case of arguments between couples??) but a lovely room. We had a view from the main lobby but it didn't bother us too much as we spent all week end mainly in the bed:)

We did try the leisure facility, everything was nice but a bit noisy due to the bar/ restaurant just near it, but again it didn't bother us too much.

The breakfast was lovely, and as a sunday morning in hotel at 9am, we didn't wait too long before having a nice table. Lots of choices, can't complain about anything really:)

Overall, a really nice stay, there's definitly a marriott stamp on this hotel, which is lovely as you know the staff is professionnal and work to please the guest. Would definitly come back

We spent new years eve at this hotel. Easy to find and a delight to stay. We stayed with friends, our children enjoyed the indoor pool. The room was clean, a good size with two double beds, very comfortable mattress and pillows. Mini bar was fully stocked and plenty of tv and films to choose from. The staff were excellent, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would def recommend and stay again

Booked a last minute getaway with friends for their pearl anniversary. I was surprised that so close to Christmas and mid party season we were able to get a deal for 2 nights with full breakfast and dinner on the first night for only £115 pp! Amazing! I phoned the hotel a couple of days prior to arrival and spoke to a very helpful efficient lady called Sara. I explained about the anniversary and asked if the hotel would be able to upgrade our friends. No quibble, it was done and a complimentary bottle of bubbly was waiting in their room on arrival. Nice touch. Sara even phoned mw back to confirm everything. Good service.
The dinner was fantastic, I've rated that separately. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Thete was plenty of easy parking too! Definately would stay again especially with another offer! Well done Marriott great job.

with the big hotel chains you usually know what you are going to get that is probably why we like to use them they are like a comfortable pair of slippers. this hotle was just like that, it provided all that one would expect with a litlte more and to be fair i felt it was doing a very good job.
We paid for this trip using Tesco Club card points so we only used a quarter of the rate in vouchers and got the deal, so as a tip here friends if you use Tesco points it is worth taking a look at the hotel offers on the website. we have used several hotels this way.
there are a good rnage of branded eateries nearby if you want to eat out of the hotel and the water is not far away at all.
