After staying the previous night at Premier Inn Southampton West Quay, we then moved on to the Port Solent East Premier Inn as we wanted to continue to stay in the area. After the ultra-modern West Quay Inn, Port Solent East was a more traditional Premier Inn of the usual format with its own free car park and an adjacent Pub Restaurant (a Beefeater in this case). Our room was spotless and quiet, bed comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. So all the usual good value for our £29 booking!
We booked for dinner at the adjacent Beefeater, and although it was just before Christmas and busy, the service was friendly and efficient and the food was good.
Since we were staying only overnight, we did not get time to explore the vicinity of Port Solent, however this Premier Inn was well located for an easy drive into Portsmouth. If needing to stay in the Portsmouth area in the future, we would consider Port Solent East Premier Inn again.
