Just returned from a two night break walking the Winchcombe Way and stayed at the Oaklands.
Tom and Pat were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble, even getting Pat out of bed on our early arrival!.
What was nice was there was always a full supply of coffee and milks in the room so we didn't need to ask for more.
The breakfast was to die for as you probably would if you stayed there a week. My buddy reduced his eggs from two to one on the second day because there was too much on his plate.
I can recommend this B & B to anyone.
To eat at night we went to the Plaisterers and the Corner Cupboard both in Winchcome. Both were not cheap but well cooked. The Corners drinks were expensive and the mushy peas with the fish came in a thimble sized container. Considering mushy peas are 45p a tin I would have expected much more for my £9 but the waitress brough us larger portions on request. Due to the drink prices we went for a couple of pints in a pub in Greet Road later.
I have only put average for value because the cost was £45 each per night which I felt was a little more than I would expect to pay however perhaps these are Cotswold prices !
