we arrived on a wet and misty afternoon to a lovely log fire in a beautiful sitting room where Susie (the owner) served a delightful afternoon tea of scones and homemade cake. The room (we had the Yellow room) was a delight.Spacious yet cosy, clean and very comfortable with a lovely large bed,TV ,CD Player and tea and coffee making facilities, and plenty of books and magazines. The bathroom has bath and shower and was spotlessly clean with lots of little extras. The views from the room are stunning.
For breakfast Susie gives you a huge choice-plenty of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, wonderful Cotswold bread as well as a large choice of cooked from porridge to full english.
This is an ideal spot for touring, sightseeing and shopping. Cheltenham is only 15 mins drive away and has great shops, well worth visiting. Susie kindly loaned us a local map and showed us a route for a days car tour, taking us through Stanway, Broadway, Chipping Camden and Burton on the Water-to name a few. I would imagine it would also be an ideal place to walk from-with so much wonderful walking country on the doorstep.
This is only bed and breakfast but there are numerous places to eat in the evening locally, and Susie was very helpful in recommending eateries.
This lovely place really is very good value.
Look out for all Susies fabulous sculptures through the house. She is one talented lady!
