We stayed here with our daughter - in rooms 1 + 2. We are from Australia with family in nearby Tetbury. This was a great suprise - a georgeous little 2 bedroom and bathroom space...with a little hallway too. Both rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated - not over the top, just tasteful and very comfortable. The bathroom had a bath too which we loved, with Molton Brown goodies. The beds were comfortable and there was a flat screen tv in both rooms. As much as we loved our room, even more fantastic was the breakfast. We took full advantage of all the cereals, berry compotes and the bacon and eggs, kippers and porridge aswell. We had 3 weeks travelling around the UK and these were by far our favourite breakfasts. We had a meal in the more casual restaurant which was nice too. Once again, nice interior and a nice warm welcoming feel. We wouldn't hesitate to book this room(s) again and will certainly return to see both the family - and the breakfast! Thank You.

Had a lovely room with a view over the countryside. Wedding was well done with good service and good food. Drinks not too expensive and a very tasty breakfast. Staff were helpful and attentive.

Stayed for one night in January. All staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was on the small size but we did take the lowest price band so you get what you pay for, having said that we still got views over the back gardens and a four poster bed. The bathroom was great with Molton Brown products.
Dinner was excellent value with a nice range of options. Quality of ingredients are good and the chef adds his bit with out over doing it. Cooked breakfast was spot on with a good selection on the cold buffet.
Hotels location makes it a great choice if you want to visit the Cotswold one day and then pop down into Bath the next day, which is about 30 - 40 minutes drive

We went there for a two night stay with a function included on Saturday evening. Friday evening stayed in and had a Bar meal, OK only, but very expensive. After a hiccup in the hotel booking (by the hotel!) room was very small for the price, other rooms were twice the size for the same price, all room/en suite lights fused out at gone midnight after function, but were fixed reasonably quickly, also the hot water ran out when having a bath in the evening. The function room was not very warm, service excellent, however food was served on cold plates/bowls, e.g. sample, soup was luke warm! portions were small, meal was not cheap! Front Desk was not the most welcoming and a bit haphazard.
The hotel has a lovely location, is a beautiful building with some very nice cottages attached to the rear, it advertises itself to be far better than it actually is, the management and catering staff need a real shake up and then it has the potential to be a really good hotel to stay at and have a function. We are large group and financially very good for the hotel, but will be go back next year, I am not too sure?
