Arrived late 9.50pm and was checked in, no worries, by Andy the Bar manager.
Set off to wander into town in the drizzle, got 100 yards and came back.
Couple of good cask ales and log fire going, had a nice chat with well travelled Andy and asked him about any ghosts you might find in such a 16th century? characterful building in the ancient Roman capital of England...
You will have to ask him, I didnt see any. Interesting chap is Andy.
Room was ok shower feeble though, had to move about in an effort to get properly wet.
Breakfast was ok but suggest Gloucester Old Spot sausages as the Lincolnshire's (global footprint?) dont travel well, too herby.
Pity.
Also experienced the vaccuum none too subtle early wake up call as breakfast has a small time window, presumably this is all related.
Would return though, has a nice ambience.
