Very Convenient location for the Cotswolds - but don't make it your Holiday Stopover Home for more than one night or an emergency stay..... Have often booked this hotel in the past for both clients & colleagues but never until now myself.....(I am SO sorry! - please forgive me...) Having now stayed there myself a few days ago - very unikely to make that mistake again - I would rather find a friendly Cotswolds B&B or local Pub with rooms ..... Room freezing cold - someone had switched off the inadequate electric wall heater - NO pillows WHATSOEVER - I had to go to reception to beg for some - they helped, but they should not have had to ... It is not rocket science to expect housekeeping staff to put/leave at least 2 pillows on any bed as part of their room turnround procedures ..... Duvet v thin & not Winter Worthy especially when they turn off the heater before you get there. Bed OK ish - Big but I should have probably slept on the bed settee instead because foam does not have sticky out springs that you can feel.....I know it's not 5 star and budget price - but I expect at least 2 flattened pancake pillows even in these times of austerity! Sadly Disappointingly - Outside looks great - built of Cotswold Stone Looking Blocks or Cladding ... But inside it is less than inspiring ... I know you get what you pay for - but is the expection of at least a pillow or two and some warmth just a step too far?
