“Pillows Not Necessarily Included”

Very Convenient location for the Cotswolds - but don't make it your Holiday Stopover Home for more than one night or an emergency stay..... Have often booked this hotel in the past for both clients & colleagues but never until now myself.....(I am SO sorry! - please forgive me...) Having now stayed there myself a few days ago - very unikely to make that mistake again - I would rather find a friendly Cotswolds B&B or local Pub with rooms ..... Room freezing cold - someone had switched off the inadequate electric wall heater - NO pillows WHATSOEVER - I had to go to reception to beg for some - they helped, but they should not have had to ... It is not rocket science to expect housekeeping staff to put/leave at least 2 pillows on any bed as part of their room turnround procedures ..... Duvet v thin & not Winter Worthy especially when they turn off the heater before you get there. Bed OK ish - Big but I should have probably slept on the bed settee instead because foam does not have sticky out springs that you can feel.....I know it's not 5 star and budget price - but I expect at least 2 flattened pancake pillows even in these times of austerity! Sadly Disappointingly - Outside looks great - built of Cotswold Stone Looking Blocks or Cladding ... But inside it is less than inspiring ... I know you get what you pay for - but is the expection of at least a pillow or two and some warmth just a step too far?

Room Tip: If you have mobility problems insist on a ground floor room because there is no lift to 1st floor -

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

Room was in general as to be expected for a travelodge. Reasonable size, reasonably clean, stupidly soft bed, pillows like pancakes, functional bathroom.... We had the added bonus of a hole in the wall (looked about fist height) and a bit of a broken shower. Get what you pay for.

Location was ok, too far to walk into town but as we were attending a wedding it was perfectly fine. If you want to visit Cirencester would suggest staying closer, as parking was a bit of a mission.

“Bargain price, nothing fancy but good place to stop over.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011 via mobile

Stayed one night. Polite straightforward check in. Room was quite big, comfy bed, clean linen, clean bathroom. Is very definitely no frills but for £25 what do you expect? Not noisy at all from other guests, bit of traffic noise. Good tv reception. Breakfast in a bag was ok, little chef over the car park slightly grotty!

“You get what you pay for”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

I stayed here for one night in October and on arrival was greeted by a very flustered receptionist who went into great detail about how the hotel was understaffed and overbooked. Once we finally got the key the room was ok but very tired and shabby. The room didn't look like it had been cleaned properly and there were what looked like vomit stains all over the carpet. Also the remote was missing for the TV and I had to ask for towels and extra pillows. That being said the room was quiet and dark and the bed was ok so I had a good nights sleep.

“No reason not to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

Typical Travelodge 4C,s( cheap, convienent, clean and comfortable).Little Chef on site,Tesco and the famous Greasy Joes just down the road for breakfast,5 mins drive to town centre where there is a good selection of restaurants, helpful and welcoming staff would stay again if in the area especially if I can book in advance and get one of there cheap saver deals(paid £25 pound for a family room)

Room Tip: book a family room even if there is only 2 of you they cost the same but you get a sofa in the room...
