This is a good choice for those walking the Cotswolds Way and touring the Cotswolds. A couple of miles outside Cheltenham and close to Winchcombe with many bars and restaurants. There is also a restaurant and pub within walking distance.

This is a very comfortable and homely hotel. We had a superior double room with fantastic view out over the Cotswold hills. You can access the Cotswolds Way from the back of the hotel and there is an excellent 6 mile circular walk right from the hotel, with varied scenery and excellent views.

The breakfast is cooked fresh and plentiful. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

There are lots of steps up to the hotel so I don't think it is suitable for the very elderly / infirm or disabled travellers.

All in all a good and comfortable choice in a lovely area,

Lovely greeting on arrival, with tea and cake.
The bed was comfortable, but the decor in the room could do with some updating, imo.
The room was ensuite, but no shower. The toilet would not flush (however only stayed one night, so not a major problem, and we did get a small amount off the bill) and the plug holes in the sink and bath could have done with a better clean.
The room faced the road, so road noise was a little bit of a bother if you are a light sleeper like myself.
There are alot of steps up to the entrance, which may cause some people issues. And although carparking was provided, returning from our night out, other patrons parking over spaces meant we had to park a short walk away.
Breakfast was excellent!

I've stayed at Cleeve Hill House Hotel several times on business trips to Cheltenham, and have very much enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, the great views from the front of the hotel and the owners marvellous hospitality and attention to detail, not to mention an excellent and filling breakfast to set me up for the next day. Couldn't ask for better.

Arrived to tea and cake, what better start to a few days away?
Manfred & Jackie couldn't have been more welcoming & my room was lovely.
A perfect cooked breakfast set me up for a days walking the Cotswold Way.
All in all perfect (well apart from some rain!).
