My wife and I spent a very enjoyable stay at the Clarence Court Hotel. It was a great location. Very clean and nicely appointed room. The staff were very friendly and helpful.The food in the Restaurant was excellent and we would certainly stay there again. We would strongly recommend it to anyone

I have just returned from 3 nights at the Clarence Court Hotel, Cheltenham with my mother staying in a twin room on the top floor (number 26). Based just a few minutes walk to the Cheltenham town centre and links, this lovely hotel is a true "find" on a quiet green square. Room nice, lovely bedding and pillows and modern bathroom, altogether very spacious.It was quite a few stairs to the top floor, but definately a way to work off the feast that was breakfast! (Thankfully there was someone handy to carry our cases up the stairs!).

The hotel breakfast was marvellous- everything spot on. Options of hot porridge and full English cooked breakfast, along with cereals, fruit and continential selection guarantee you are left stuffed for the day ahead. Most importantly for me, self service filter coffee constantly on the go- nice. We also used the restaurant in the evening for a meal, also yesterday for sandwiches. The food overall is of very high standard, and a willingness to accomodate any special requirements if possible. We found the staff very welcoming and hospitable. A friendly warm welcome that wouldnt be too much or off putting to the lone traveller (which often we are). I feel confident I could stay here comfortably as a female on my own and also be happy to eat at the restaurant/drink in the bar on my own.The bar and lounge are clean, modern and relaxing.

I wil definately be a returning customer to this hotel, I just hope it is soon! Compliments to the staff.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 Saturday night in Jauary as we were due to watch our son run the Goucester Marahon the next day.
The hotel is an attractive building with a quiet location over looking a pleasant little square, and is conveniant for the town centre ( 5-10 minute walk depending which part of the town centre you want). We always like a hotel with off road parking and this hotel has adecent car ark but even it it was full I would have no doubts about parking in the street outside.
The staff were friendly and helpful. When we tried to book a table in the restaurant we were informed that due to a large booking it was full but we could order anything from e menu and eat in the lounge. When we arrived the table was reserved just for us and nothing was too much trouble.The food was fine and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
The Clarence Court was great value and we would stay there again next time in Cheltenham.

We were let down by a major bus tour company in South Wales, looked for an alternative, at a short notice and found this "Gem" of an hotel in Cheltenham, The four of us could not find a fault at anything, Very friendly staff from the manager down plus the food in the restaurant was 5 star!
