Hotel was pleasant and typically old world for this area. It was a cold january and whilst the 12ft high sash window was very pleasant, the 12ft high curtains totally covered the radiator and were sealed to the sides so couldnt be adjusted. So, heat or light...
The bed was very soft, sagging in the middle and too high at the foot.
There was a smell of cig smoke coming under my door which got progressively worse. Called reception and it stopped, then happened again. Someone was smoking in their room. Strange, as there are sensors in rooms and corridors.
Didnt sample the evening menu as the restaurant was deserted. Went next door to a Brasserie. Breakfast was great.
I was bit miffed that the hotel isnt cheap, its out of season and you still have to pay for wi-fi and whilst there is plenty of parking you still have to pay £10 to park in a 70% empty car park.
