This is a "cheap and cheerful" hotel, although unfortunately its not that cheap! I booked at the last minute as my stay in the area was unexpectedly extended and the previous hotel I was staying at was fully booked. For the £90 I paid for a night, there are a lot of better choices in the area. This hotel would be acceptable value at around £50 a night.
There's nothing offensive about the place: the rooms are clean and adequate, and its perfectly fine for an overnight stay. However it is very basic. I had a twin room which was furnished "student dormitory" style with wobbling beds, a desk, small TV and not much else. No irons and ironing boards in the rooms. When I called to ask for one I was told all the boards had been handed out, but that I could come down to reception to collect an iron on its own if I wanted! No toiletries provided except for a wall mounted soap dispenser, public lavatory style. Breakfast was bleak: poorly presented, little choice and low quality.
My view: okay is the price is right for an overnight stay. Otherwise consider the other options, there's a lot of places nearby.
